“Company expands leadership team as it completes new development projects in Texas and California”
DALLAS, TEXAS — May 21, 2024 – Hall Group announced today that Ben Brewer has been named chief operating officer for the company’s Hall Asset Holdings real estate portfolio. Brewer will also serve as a member of Hall Group’s strategic planning group and on the Hall Structured Finance loan committee. He will join the team on Tuesday, May 28.
In his new role, Brewer will lead Hall Group’s asset management, development, and marketing teams with oversight of the company’s real estate portfolio valued at approximately $1.5 billion. The portfolio is made up of office, hospitality and residential properties that include the 162-acre Hall Park in Frisco, Texas; Hall Arts Hotel and Residences in the Dallas Arts District; the Thompson Palm Springs hotel in California, which is slated to open this fall; and several other properties.
“The company is experiencing a period of significant growth with the completion and opening of several new developments this year. We are excited to welcome Ben to the team to help manage our growing portfolio and to facilitate new future opportunities. Ben is incredibly talented and highly respected within the DFW community, and we are confident he will be a great culture fit at Hall,” said Hall Group chairman and founder Craig Hall.
Prior to joining Hall Group, Brewer spent 18 years with Hines, most recently serving as market leader for the company’s Dallas operations. In that role, he was responsible for all facets of commercial and land development as well as multi-sector acquisitions. During his tenure, he led development and redevelopment projects across product types including office and residential, as well as zoning and entitlement projects, REO transactions, and acquisitions and refinancing.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to join a visionary organization that continues to raise the bar in the North Texas commercial real estate market, and beyond,” said Brewer. “I look forward to being a part of an esteemed group of professionals who are working to continue the strong Hall legacy for decades to come.”
Brewer serves on the board of directors for The Real Estate Council (TREC), Klyde Warren Park Corporate Council, White Rock Lake Foundation, and the Dallas Regional Chamber. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
In 2021, Hall Group broke ground on an ambitious, re-imagined masterplan for its largest real estate asset, Hall Park, transforming the office campus into a dynamic, mixed-use neighborhood. The first phase of the plan includes The Monarch Hall Park, a 19-story luxury residential tower that opened in late 2023, as well as the Hall Park Hotel, a 224-room Autograph Collection hotel; The Tower at Hall Park, a 16-story trophy office tower; and Kaleidoscope Park, the City of Frisco’s six-acre, highly programmed community park, all slated to open later this year along with new restaurant and retail offerings. The company is also opening a new 168-room Thompson Hotel in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, California this fall that will include 20,000 square feet of dining and retail space.
